Floors Project Photos

Alright so I have a few before and during photos of the project but for got to take one after.. DOH... I will post an "after" photo tonight or tomorrow.

Just a picture of my dog but notice two things in this photo... 1) The carpet pictured is the carpet in the family room being replaced. 2) The wood floor pictured is the old wood floor being replaced as well. Oh and by the way, that's Emma's bed from puppyhood she still tries to fit into.

And so it begins... First, I have to rip up all the carpet and tack strips.

Next, I have to rip up all the old wood floor :( This was not a fun task...

Not only is ripping up the floor hard but then I had to pry off all the old glue

I also took this time to paint the dining room since I don't have to worry about the flooring yet

And finally I started laying the wood (after I realized I have to remove all the baseboard trim)

Ok, so it's been a while since my last update... not because I am lazy but because I have been extremely busy AND I am lazy.

Over the last month I have replaced flooring throughout the front hall, family and dining rooms to wood floors. I have also installed new baseboard trim and painted many areas. I have several before and after photos but they are at home on my camera still :(

Aside from my home projects (which never go away) I am also busy with work. My latest contract is to build an online patient forms manager for dentists to host.

As for what's to come? This weekend I hope to mow the lawn, fix some sprinklers, lay a flagstone patio, fire up the hot tub and relax.
